Arthur Emery, Founder & Co-Owner

As a student of disciplines ranging from math to law to physics to philosophy and beyond, I have come to realize one important thing about learning:

It is not who you are, but who has taught you that makes all the difference.

Every student has the capacity to understand the material they're studying, and deserves to be given the chance to do so. It doesn't matter if you are learning quantum physics or basic addition, if you have a teacher who can explain your material to you in a way that makes sense, then you can learn anything.

That's where I come in.

My job is to explain a student's material in as many ways as necessary for them to understand it. By focusing on each student's individual learning style I am not helping them answer problems, I am helping them unlock their own potential and find the skills they need to succeed long after I'm gone.

"In high school I struggled with math and had a tutor for all four years. In college I was too scared to ask for help and was failing math. My teacher recommended I go to the tutorial center. That's where I met Arthur Emery, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. He is the only person who has ever made math make sense to me. Arthur took the time to understand my learning process and worked with me until I understood the material, no matter how long it took. He is patient and will try a million different ways to help you understand the problem you are working on. I felt like he was there to help me no matter what type of math it was. Arthur was my math tutor all through college and stayed my friend long after. I would recommend Arthur to ANYONE who needs help in math!"
